Cllr Bill Parks
Warminster North & Rural
Bill was elected the Unitary Councillor for the Warminster North and Rural Division in May 2021. This includes the villages of Chapmanslade, Corsley, Horningsham, Maiden Bradley, Upton Scudamore, and part of the Warminster Town.
As a local resident, born and raised in the area, Bill has been heavily involved in local community matters, working positively with Parish Councils, Community Groups and Partner Organisations to tackle a myriad of concerns and issues. In particular, he has been involved in the introduction of speed control measures in the area, working with community groups to tackle local highway maintenance and flooding and providing support to vulnerable families.
Bill serves on Warminster Area Board and is chairman of the Local Highway and Footpath Improvement Group providing targeted funding for highways improvement schemes. He also holds the portfolio position for Waste Services in Wiltshire Council’s administration and is vice-chairman of Western Area Planning Committee.
His personal goal is to ensure that the area receives proper funding and representation at County Hall to ensure the town and villages never become forgotten.
Bill is always delighted to hear from residents, and willing to listen, to help and provide the necessary support to address resident's concerns.
