Wiltshire Council has formally submitted an outline planning application for the redevelopment of the East Wing site, opposite County Hall, and have outlined their vision for the site.
The plans include a new health facility, leisure, residential, retail and food/beverage opportunities.
Wiltshire Council cabinet member for economic regeneration, Chuck Berry, said
"Redeveloping this site has always been one of our top priorities as we think it has huge potential, particularly given the additional growth we've seen in this area of the town in recent years.
"We hope people will take some time out to pop along to County Hall and see the proposals for themselves as their feedback is vital as we move through the planning process."
In November last year members of the Conservative-run cabinet confirmed their intention to pursue a regeneration project on this site. They have been collaborating with the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group on the health facility aspect of the proposal. Along with the CCG, we presented the proposals at the recent Trowbridge Area Board.

The planning application consultation runs until 15 September.
